Objective


I am currently residing in Amman - Jordan with the intention of relocating to the USA. I am half American and an American citizen. I had the privilege of living in Jordan, UK and the UAE and speak Arabic fluently.

? I participated by acting/modelling in 16 commercials on Jordan/Kuwait television networks. Most of the products concerned food and drink. I gained experience in dealing with the camera and abiding to the limited time given for the act.

? Responsibilities included the outdoor sales for the publishing house while promoting its products and assisting customers in the book store. Gained experience in selling techniques and improved my communication skills.

? Collecting market info and data about the region in order to form an appropriate business plan.

? Meeting various suppliers, customers and potential customers and try to establish long-term business relationships.

January 2008 - Present CTI Group Inc – Amman, Jordan

Research and Development Manager

? Responsible for Market Research and Development for the supply of cement/clinker worldwide

? Gathering material and market intelligence concerning dry bulk cargoes especially cement/clinker and providing the company with extensive weekly or monthly reports.

? Attending cement/shipping conferences with the intention of gathering worldwide info concerning the demand/supply of cement and the freight market in addition to representing the company and meeting other business rivals, current customers and potential business partners.

? Handing in extensive reports to the CEO on different countries around the world concerning for the purpose of finding potential new markets. The reports would begin with a general overview of the country’s political and economical situations and then would give a detail analysis of the cement market and ending with a SWOT analysis and a conclusion. Those reports were usually accompanied by a power point presentation to the CEO, CFO and the General Manager in order elaborate on the report and answer various questions they may have.

Leadership/Comunication:

Being a member of the MBA student staff panel and class president for over 300 students enhanced my ability to negotiate and to demonstrate oral communication with others. In addition, it increased my level of self-assurance and confidence while addressing an audience which was an essential factor in being a member of the MBA student staff panel.



Analytical:

Participating in developing business plans, market research- analysis and critical assessment of the situation developed my analytical skills while working for a bank.



Self-Assurance:

Being sent to meet different clients and gathering market information from various sources helped me become more self reliant and more confident. Part of my current job is to drive to different locations, cities, towns to meet potential customers and sources in order gather market information and hopeully build a long-term business relationship.



Team Work:

Self-discipline, participation and the ability to motivate other team- members were an essential aspect for working at Planitis.Net.



Adaptability:

Willing and able to adapt to new environments and cultures while accepting challenges with a positive attitude in addition to being able to adjust whilst working under pressure. This was acquired while working for CTI Group Inc where I travelled a lot and got transferred to work in the USA for 9 months and then to Dubai for another 6 months. Moreover, because of always being mobile and exposed to different cultures, I became more flexible while dealing with others.
