Radio Technician

Objective


I would like to prevent, correct, and maintain radio communicaiton devices for SATCOM, HF, VHF, and UHF radios.


Experience


I have served in the USMC as an Air Traffic Control (ATC) radio technician. I have served overseas in Iwakuni, Japan and assisted SPAWAR during a transitional period in which all communications equipment were tested and troublshot for optimum efficiency. I have assisted the USMC in the exercises of Cobra Gold and Iron Shield in which I embarked and disembarked several different communications equipment to assist in ATC operations. I have worked with HF, VHF, and UHF radios from the URC-94, GRC-171, GRC-211, RT-1794, RT-1694, RT-1796, and SATCOM. I used several different testing equipment for maintainence and repair of radios from volt/watt meters, frequency counters, IFR communicaitons testing equipment, oscilloscopes, and Thrulines.


Education


I have graduated from Westview High School with a high school diploma. I studied at Naval Air Training Station, Pensacola, Florida in which I studied, minitiure component repair, radio theory, radio wave propagation, and the afformentioned radios.


Certification


I have been certified by the USMC and Naval Air Training Station Pensacola for graduation of their radio communications courses.


Skils


I am a quick study and tend to ask questions when I need clarification on a specific subject matter. I work hard and prefer to be as meticulous during and maintenance procedures as possible for outstanding performance of equipment worked on. I am familiar with Microsoft word programs. I am phisically fit and have a high level of stamina for long days. I have a great desire to finish the project or job assigned to me. I work well with other people and treat all others with respect.
