• Over 2000 hours of training maintenance on deck and engine room on training ship.
• Small boat handling trained.
• Held in person in charge of deck and engine room department position: assigned duties and making daily schedules.
• Received training in lifeboat, C.P.R, firefighting, man overboard drills.
• Helm and watch standing.
• Operations of engine room equipment (ex. Main Diesel Engine’s, EMD’s, Ship Service Diesel Gen set aux boilers, etc.)
• Experience in Fuel transfer and sounding the tanks.
• Experience in a power pack and upper bearing and lower bearing on the Main Diesel Engine.
• Detroit diesel engine preform lube oil and filter service and draw lube oil samples from the Series 60, Series 2000, And Series 4000 engines and or trans/reductions gears on the ship Dredge Yaquina.
