Sailed as relief GVA (OS) in the Deck Department’s of the MacArthur II, Nancy Foster, Ronald H. Brown and Thomas Jefferson. Successfully performed all duties of an AB including underway, anchor and quarterdeck watchstanding.
Sailed as a Wiper fulfilling all duties of Junior Engineer day worker on the Ronald H. Brown.
Participated in the delivery of the Henry B. Bigelow from V.T Halter Marine and sailed as a wiper, fulfilling the duties of an Oiler. Fabricated shelving and worked out placement for stores and created spreadsheets for consumable stores. Responsible for all lighting and sewage plant routine maintenance. Firefighting ‘A’ Team member

Apprentice Electrician
Primary duties were to provide 120, 240 and 480V shore power to motor and sailing yachts, pulling cable, swapping connectors and/or breakers. Assist electricians install/repair generators, chargers, inverters, etc. Perform battery swaps and connector repair. Repair, replace and fabricate shore power pedestals. Hook up portable generators and cooling towers. Responsible for all interior and exterior lighting. Operation and maintenance of forklifts, scissor lifts and a Genie Condor. Helped install new 16 camera security system with CAT5 connectors.
Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (August 2008-October2008)
Woods Hole, MA
Sailed as a relief QMED/Oiler on the R/V Knorr. Duties included cleaning Alfa-Laval FO purifiers, transfer of fuel oil & ballast, raising & lowering bow thruster, watertight door & elevator maintenance, engine room cleanliness and prep for INSURV inspection.
