QMED/Junior Engineer

Objective


I would like to apply for the position of a QMED- Junior Engineer, where I can use my 10-plus years of maritime experience to help achieve my employer’s mission.


Experience


Work Experience:

December 2006- Current: Health care giver/ First Responder.

February 2001-july 2005: Welder/ furniture works (self-employed).



April 1997 -2000: Western Atlas/Baker Hughes Wireline/logging services (Houston TX.) Angola West Africa.

Trained on the job as senior wireline operator, assisting logging engineers in data acquisition and testing of Oil and Gas wells. Safe handling of all Radioactive and Explosive materials used in tools for well testing. Maintenance and repair of equipment, performing regular insulation test of electrical equipment/ cables.



January 1992-May 96: Tidewater international, Gabon, West Africa.

Served as a Second Engineer and responsible to the chief Engineer, assisting the chief Engineer in operation and maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of Engines and ancillary support systems. Serving as a relief to the chief engineer in machinery and support system operation.

Vessels sailed on as 2nd Engineer are as follows:

M/V. Jensen Tide: GRT 296, B.H.P. 4300, Date 1/25/1996-5/10/96. 1/05/1994-12/20/94.

M/V. Gulf Fleet 67: GRT 451, BHP. 4600, Date 1/18/1995-12/18/95. 6/23/1993-11/05/93.

M/V. Gladding Tide: GRT 298, BHP. 4300 Date 1/23/1993-6/23/93.

M/V. Terry Tide: Jan 1992-May 92, served as Oiler.



January 1987- September 1991: Western Geophysical Inc. (Houston TX) Gabon West Africa, Offshore seismic Research.

Primary responsibilities as a Marine Mechanic, operated at port and at sea, boats ranging from 80 to 950 Tons and 460 to 1500 KW. These boats include crew and supply, barge pushers and shooting vessels. Main duties include ensuring safe operation of the entire engineering system; machinery and equipment. Safeguarding normal operation of every port and sea bound component and system by providing required maintenance, inspection and testing.



January 1986-November 86: Global Marine Drilling Company, Gabon West Africa:

MUDO Adriatic 1. Primary responsibilities as a Motorman, running regular engine, machinery, space and support system watch. Carrying out repair work according to schedule, periodic and conditional or predictive. Reporting the completion and related data to the rig engineer.



December 1984- Dec.85: Sedco Forex drilling company. Gabon West Africa;

MODU Searex 1, as a motorman and responsibilities just as the above.



June 1981-82: Ghana Railway and ports Authority/State Fishing Corporation.

As Marine engineer cadet Trainee at the dry dock, worked on general aspects of ship construction, ship structure and transmission, motor plant and ancillary support systems. General welding, metal works and fabrication.
