KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA – September. 2010 to December 2011

Working with : L & T ATCO SAUDI ARABIA, KSA

Designation : QA/QC Inspector (Welding/Piping )

Project : Jubail Export Refinery Project

Contractor : SKEC

Client : SATROP (Saudi Aramco/Total Joint Venture)

The project included installation and erection of heavy piping, structure, pipe racks, columns and other equipment works. The piping includes the fabrication and welding of critical materials like SS, Alloy 20 and CS materials (including supports).

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Evaluation of materials documents based on project specifications requirements.

? WPS, PQR preparations and welders qualification.

? Making awareness about the welding by conducting tool box meetings.

? Arranging NDT, witness and reporting to client for getting clearance.

? Responsible for the inspection of materials delivered at site including fabricated materials.

? Preparation of Company System Manual, Procedures.

? Preparation of Projects Specific Quality manuals, quality assurance such as Inspection test plans, Quality control procedures, method statements.

? Fulfilling the requirements of Audit – ISO 9001 and maintaining the records as per the quality management systems.

? Taking care of quality related activities like NDT of piping and pipeline as per ASME standards.

? Planning, monitoring of all inspection activities.

? Weld repair control by controlling the welding process and weld consumable control.

? Ensuring implementation of Quality Control Plan, Procedure and Inspection & Test Plan.

? Prepare inspection request prior to accept the construction piping / welding work, pressure testing and releasing of fabricated pipelines in order to prepare certification for the completed items.

? Coordinate with construction, testing group, and QC department in the preparation test requirement of each pack and facilitate close out of any outstanding punch items before and after the pressure tests.

? Working of CS (A 106Gr A,B,C), SS 304L,316, 316L, And Alloy 20 material.

IN INDIA - Aug 2009 to July 2010

Designation : QA/QC Engineer (Welding / Piping)

Mody Technical Consultancy is Contracting Company specialized in NDT, engineering, procurement, project construction, fabrication and maintenance activities in Oil, Gas and Power sectors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Evaluation of materials documents based on project specifications requirements.

Designation : QA/QC Welding and Piping Inspector

Project : LLDPE AtMessaied Site.

Contractor : Snamprogetti.(Sipem)

Client : QATOFIN (Qatar Petroleum and Total Petroleum Venture Project)

The project included installation and erection of heavy piping, structure, pipe racks, boiler, furnace, stacks, skids, pumps, storage tank, columns and other equipment including the civil works. The piping includes the fabrication and welding of critical materials like P91, P22, P11, SS 304, 316 and CS materials (including supports).

Duties and Responsibilities:

? Evaluation of materials documents based on project specifications requirements.

? Responsible on inspection of the proper orientation for all fabricated pipe with regards to isometric drawings, including visual inspection of all welding profiles and conducted an inspection for all welding materials that conform to WPS.

? Responsible for the inspection of materials delivered at site including fabricated materials.

? Ensuring implementation of Quality Control Plan, Procedure and Inspection & Test Plan.

? Prepare inspection request prior to accept the construction piping / welding work, pressure testing and releasing of fabricated pipelines in order to prepare certification for the completed items.

? Coordinate with construction, testing group, and QC department in the preparation test requirement of each pack and facilitate close out of any outstanding punch items before and after the pressure tests.

? Check, monitoring of spools fabrications.

? Documentation and recording of all testing activities, daily welding reports, weld repair rate, welders performance etc.

? Co-ordinate with construction, testing group, and QC group in the preparation test requirement of each test pack.

? Prepare and submit inspection reports of fit-ups, dimensional, visual, material summary for proper document and approval.

STATE OF KUWAIT – November.2006 to December. 2007

Worked with : International Inspection Centre W.L.L. Ahmedi, Kuwait.(INTREX)

Designation : QA/QC Inspector (Welding/Piping)

Project : Various Project and Shutdown.

Contractor : SK, Kharafi National

Client : KNPC, KOC, CHEVRON

The project includes installation of 50 Km 10” , 16”, and 20” Oil pipeline connecting Joint operation to Chevron Storage Tank at Al-zoor(Kuwait) . The trenching, excavating, backfilling, side off ways, hydro testing, substation piping and structures, launcher and receivers installation were included.

Duties and Responsibilities - As Welding Inspector

? Review of WPS, PQR and welder Job Clearance Card.

? Verifying WPS requirements as per design and project specification.

? Verification of electrode issuance as per the approved procedure.

? Preparing day to day fit up and welding reports for the joints and the kilometers of the pipeline welded.

? Verifying and updating the records of calibration of the machines and equipments at site.

? 100% visual inspection of joints as per API 1104.

? Inspection and clearance of tie in joints.

? Preparation and review of weekly and cumulative welding status report.

? Ensuring NDT clearance, as per the project requirement before hydro test.

? Piping spool inspection including the structures at the substations.

INDIA – Jan. 2004 to Sep. 2006

Worked with : Mody Technical Consultancy, Surat, (Gujarat)

Designation : QA/QC Welding Engineer.

Working Period : January 2004 – September. 2006

Projects worked : Various Project and Shut at SuratHazira Site.

Worked as a QC Engineer (Both piping & welding). The projects included the fabrication of decks and modules structures, piles, jackets and associated equipments, piping and supports erection to the final barge loadout per the sequence and the schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

? Ensuring implementation of Quality Control Plan, Procedure and Inspection & Test Plan.

? Inspection and verification of identification of plates, pipes, chequered plates, beams, channels.

? Inspection of fit up of the structures as per the project specifications including the stage NDT, like PT of cut plates for laminations.

? Co-ordinate with construction and engineering group to solve the quality issues.

? Co-ordinate with client inspector for day to day activities and stage wise inspection.

? Co ordinate with NDT sub contractor.

? Raising NCR for any non compliance.

? Stage inspection of pressure vessels as per the project specifications and Sec VIII.

? Inspection of dish ends, nozzle orientation, manholes, and platforms.

? Final dimensional inspection before hydro testing for client approval.

? Co-ordinate with construction and engineering group to solve the quality issues.

? Co-ordinate with client inspector for day to day activities and stage wise inspection.
