Preparation of quotations for clients in Central America, the Middle East, as well as the Far East. Purchase, expedite, and arrange logistics for customer's materials. The company was "Sold" and the position was terminated.



Project Consultant

1/2000 - 5/2000 Global Industries, Ltd. Carlyss, La.

Purchase, coordinate, and expedite shipment of materials to overseas locations for a short term project in Equatorial Guinea, West Africa.

Maintained an on-site office at freight forwarders premises to assist in the verification, accuracy, packaging, and shipping of equipment to overseas locations as well as resolving problems with vendors. Job ended when project was completed.



Senior Materials Coordinator

8/1966 - 1/2000 J. Ray McDermott & Co., Inc. New Orleans, La.

During my lengthy tenure, I worked in the following capacities:

Blueline Operator, Draftsman, Expediter, Buyer, Senior Buyer, Materials Coordinator, Dry dock Project Coordinator, and Senior Materials Coordinator in the support of designing, building, and modifying/repairing of various types of marine vessels. Responsible for bids, purchasing, expediting, and submittal of equipment drawings to various regulatory bodies for review and approval. Also procured materials, on an urgent basis, for the various international operating divisions.

Review, verification, and approval of invoices and bills of lading for vouchering to be sent to accounting for processing.

Dry dock Project Coordinator in charge of budget, local purchasing of materials, services, and logistics. Also responsible for the quartering and needs of vessel personnel.

Served as company's Liaison/Representative to Joint Venture partner Construcciones Maritimas Mexicanas (CMM) in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, Mexico. While as liaison, made decisions concerning offshore operations with Project Managers, such as purchasing, monitoring vessel/material movement. Responsible for overseeing crew changes and resolving problems with Immigration. Coordinated movement of personnel and equipment to and from offshore locations.
