Senior Lead Designer of Derricks, Masts and Substructure. Lead Designer on NOV “Ideal Rig” and Rapid Rig” land rigs.
Frequent traveling in Gulf Coast States, Mexico and Singapore. Group leader on short term high profile projects such as the GSF DD I and DD II projects in Singapore.
Other duties included rig condition surveys API 4G. Instrumental in achieving the schedule date, design, manufacturing, and installation of NOV equipment Systems and structural modules modification.

Senior Lead Structural / Mechanical Designer
Responsible for proposal drawings for drilling rig design, both land based and offshore. R & D for new draw works system, anchoring system, pull test anchor for 1500k. Co-designed 1200k, 1000k and 750k mobile land drilling rig. Worked closely with client and engineers.
11/95 - 07/00 Transocean Houston, TX
Senior Lead Project Designer
Project team leader for TSF new build dual activity Enterprise Class Drill Ships: Discoverer Enterprise, Discoverer Spirit and Discoverer Deep Seas. These drill ships were designed for harsh environment applications capable of drilling in North Sea type conditions, ($1.2B project).
Responsibilities included: documentation control, assign tasks to draftsmen and designers. Review of drawing, regulatory compliance. Conduct interface studies using 3-D modeling on the derrick, and drill floor. Design crude oil handling system. Designed lifting sequence and supervised final placement of modules on the ships. Heaviest lift 4,800 tons.
Installation Supervisor for Substructure, Mud Module and BOP Module on Discoverer Enterprise and Discoverer Spirit.
Headed up design team for upgrade of the Discoverer Seven Seas as well as the new design for Top Drive test stump. Lead designer on Interocean III up-grade.
Performed preliminary structural analysis for major sections of all designs. Designed the main support for the riser tensioner systems for Enterprise Class Drill Ships.

Lead Structural Detailer
Main responsibilities were checking, generating B.O.M.’s, material tack-off and connection detailer. Revised drawings as needed. Worked closely with department manager.

Project General Foreman / Assistant Project Manager
Main duties: supervise multi-discipline craft personnel; schedule erection and fabrication the Proler De-tinning Plant. Turnkey updating of the Proler reclamation plant in Channelview TX.
Coordinated the work efforts of all trades and general maintenance crew. Total subordinate employees 45.
Design duties included the re-design of Prolers' 1,700-foot long overhead crane girder system. Performed member design and analysis, connection design and analysis, (hand calculations).
Designed several explosion proof observation towers and a movable conveyor system. Performed initial structural analysis for design (Math CAD & manual calculation).

Multiple employers working as Ironworker and steel fabricator in the Steel Erection Industry both union and non-union. Became a Certified Welder in multiple processes, Certified Crane Operator up to 165 ton. Supervisor of Steel Erection and Fabrication Projects. Held positions as helper, Journeyman Ironworker, Foreman, General Foreman, Superintendant, Project Manager. Managed projects valued at $10K to over $20M. Towards the latter part of this period I worked strictly in Petrochemical and Industrial Plants.
