Performed contract administration/project management for Navy facilities support: Various U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) assignments with Officer in Charge of Construction Thailand (Director of Construction Udorn that handled projects that included construction of the high profile Mekong River Operations Naval Base funded by the World Bank and the reactivation of the Nam Phong Air Base for the 1st Marine Air Wing), Public Works I Corps Power Plants (COMNAVSUP DaNang), Minicomputer Project Battalion Deployment Support (CESO Port Hueneme), AROICC Phila Naval Base/Naval Hospital, Construction Battalion (NMCB-3 Diego Garcia Rep) both in the states and overseas naval installations. Also was Officer in Charge of Byrd Station Antarctica during National Science Foundation Operation Deepfreeze 1972 that included operation of the station, fuel depot, power plant, ice runway for C-130s and scientific ice core drilling explorations. Transferred to Naval Reserve in 1978 and retired in 1990 (Commander, CEC, USNR).
