Project Manager/ Finish Carpentry Supervisor

Objective

To obtain a full time, long term, Project Manager position in a friendly professional environment where I can utilize my experience on the jobsite and work as a team to accomplish set goals on time, under budget, without incident, while meeting or exceeding the desired level of quality.

Experience

I am well rounded in all areas of marine construction and have many years of experience in residential as well. I began building boats professionally in 1998 as a Laminator for Leclercq Marine in Ballard, Seattle. My job duties included mold building, laminating, and rough carpentry. While working for Leclercq I bought my own floating boathouse on Lake Union and started a boat repair company which I was the sole proprietor. I owned and operated this boat shop for appoximately 5 years until I sold the business. Then, I went to work for Delta Marine in Seattle as a Finish Carpenter; primary duties included all aspects of interior yacht construction, i.e. cabinet installation, ceiling grid, furniture, layout... everything from the elevator to the galley sink, appliances, countertops etc. Then I relocated because at this time I was also flipping houses and took a job in Hoquiam working for Westport Shipyard as a Lead Finish Carpenter. Eventually things started slowing down and decided to go back to school to get my degree when I was layed off. Currently I work for Platypus Marine in Port Angeles as a Project Manager/Finish Carpentry Supervisor and participate in timely completion of boat contracts on time, and under budget. I doing so, I assist all fellow co-workers on problem solving and effecient scheduling.
