Experience
Public Storage, Inc.: Los Angeles 1997-Present District Manager:
Project management including communication, task assignment, procurement, training and roll-out. Deployed first nationwide hub site which resulted in incremental revenue of $50,000 during 1st quarter in operation.
Storage/Warehousing: Manage all aspects of operations for 10 Self-storage facilities with $11 million in annual revenue. Raised an underperforming region to above company standards, implemented team-based approach to allow complete recovery in 90 days per district which exceeded company standards and improved P&L contribution by 9%.
Cardinal Health, Inc: Houston, TX 1996 – 1997 Warehouse Manager: Managed all aspects of night operations within pharmaceutical distribution center to include modified operating hours, implemented a reset of product locations, customer service production changes resulting in a 20% increase in order filler productivity and reduced operating costs by 6%.
United States Navy: Worldwide 1984 – 1996 Surface Warfare Officer: Managed 18 officers and 200 enlisted personnel in marine craft operation. Built a cohesive team that effectively employed over $20 million worth of watercraft and equipment including sensitive and highly pilferable weapons and electronic systems. Designed and implemented training courses that streamlined organization training program resulting in 70% of detachments passing the Readiness Evaluation upon first attempt.
Worked extensively with foreign personnel encompassing training and coordinating operations with British, Chilean, Japanese, and Korean personnel. “Outside the box” planning of training allowed optimum distribution of assets in addition to reducing the required ship underway time, saving over $50,000 in operating funds.
