The majority of my experience is Master of ocean going tugs to 11,000 BHP worldwide. This experience consists of ocean tows including rig moving, transatlantic tows, Panama Canal transits, tandem tows, ship berthing/docking, SBM operations and maintenance and large bunker barge handling at major offshore oil terminals in the Gulf of Suez (Red Sea) and Caribbean, along with anchor handling in the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.

I recently completed a 6 month contract training international tug captains in ship handling, large bunker barge handling, ocean towing and SPM operations for a major European marine towing company. At the same time I was asked to write a training manual, assist with the writing of their local operating manual and to make recommendations on needed changes to a new build series of tugs which improved handling and operational capabilities .

In addition I have done consulting with major oil companies on logistics and improvements to facilities and vessels to improve safety, streamline operations, and the efficiency of same resulting in major benefits to all concerned.
