Experience

Oversee all the materials and procurement of commodities that including, but are not limited to, Pumps, Pipes, Valves, Fittings, Tanks, Chemicals, Gases, Building Materials, Electrical Parts, PCBs, machined parts, sub-contracts, capital equipment, Fire alarm and Fighting items for firefighting projects, water treatment projects, and electro-mechanical projects with good engineering practices to respect to the engineering method of our end user (Government, Semi-Government and Private Clients.

A. Nov. 2010 – Present: Corodex Industries Co. LLC – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Position: Materials Controller & Planner – Water/Waste Water Treatment Projects

Key responsibilities:

? Responsible to fully manage assigned materials, equipment, and tools to the projects.

? Coordinate engineering changes and build schedules of materials procurement such that project deadlines.

? Analyze MRP weekly or daily to produce supplier releases for repetitive production material.

? Utilize MRP to ensure optimum planning parameters such that inventory levels are sufficient.

? Coordinate expedites of production material from procurement team/suppliers as needed in support of established projects requirements in a JIT environment

? Communicates any supplier discrepancies to suppliers, appropriate materials personnel and management on all shifts.

? Investigate all inventory discrepancies for assigned materials and provides back up support for Store keepers.

? Assumes special assignments as directed by Projects Director/Projects Team.

? Planning Supervisor that include, but are not limited to, inventory control issues and supplier problem resolution.

? Advise Project Director, Technical Director or Operations Director of those situations that may pose a significant risk to the materials, equipment, and systems or client satisfaction results.

? Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformance relating to Materials.

? Initiate, recommend or provide solutions through appropriate channels and verify implementation.

? Control further processing and delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency is corrected.

B. Sep 2008 – Oct 2010: Corodex Agencies Co. LLC – Dubai, UAE

Position: Procurement & Logistics In-charge – Fire Fighting & Automation Projects

Key responsibilities:

? Reviewed requisitions for all materials required for each project

? Identified and recommend potential suppliers.

? Developed potential formal requests for quotation/proposal.

? Conducted supplier site visits and evaluate them for production capability, performance, and delivery

? Evaluated proposals from potential suppliers; selecting suppliers for a variety of highly complex or technical materials, supplies or services; negotiating price, delivery, quality and service.

? Negotiated final terms and conditions of purchase awards and administrating the procurement contract to conclusion.

? Processed the purchase orders for local & foreign procurement of materials as per our terms and conditions

? Negotiated and settling damage claims, rejections or losses, returns of materials, over-shipments, cancellations and engineering changes with suppliers.

? Prepared reports and analyses by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

Position: Procurement & Purchasing Engineer – Centralized Purchasing Department

Key responsibilities:

? Reviewed material requisitions for all materials required for all group divisions

? Processed the purchase orders for local & foreign procurement of materials as per our terms and conditions

? Optimized the cost of purchasing through competitive negotiating

? Monitored delivery period and followed up with vendors for timely supply of materials and services in line with agreed delivery schedules of purchase orders.

? Coordinated with freight forwarders for shipping and custom clearance of consignments

? Coordinated with the finance department to arrange the payments to suppliers as per the agreed terms on purchase orders and contracts
