Experience


November 2011 – Present. National Refining Company Ltd. Full time employee as a MARITIME SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities:

• Supervising, organizing, and planning all operational and administrative tasks of the terminal;

• Ensuring that operations comply with carrier, environmental standards, zero tolerance policy and network yearly inspections criteria;

• Supervising, training, evaluating and motivating other employees;

• Organizing and planning transportation services in an economic, safe and professional way; monitoring carrier activities;

• Keeping emergency response plans up to date and scheduling and organizing exercises;

• Analyzing and controlling costs and explaining variances;

• Controlling product inventories and taking corrective actions to minimize losses;

• Organizing and supervising marine tanker loading/unloading.

• Establishing all necessary paperwork before and after loading/discharging(e.g. bills of laden, quantity certificates, quality certificate of origin, protest letters, clearance certificate, cargo manifest, time sheets, SOF, accepting NOR, etc);

• Replacing terminal operators when needed.

• Maintain ISPS code, MARPOL etc

• Port Facility Security Officer.

• Control vessel traffic at the anchorage and berths

• Organising lines men and assigning tug boats to various operations.

• Main relay between ship and shore

• Calculating demurrage and port dues.



February 2010 – July 2010. Temporal worker at Fair Stream Limited, Cameroon as a maritime supervisor.

Responsible for the safety and security for all personnel, crew members and passengers on board and around the port area.-Monitor incoming and out going cargo, -Prepare budget, -Storage and handling of cargo and passengers.-Maintain, inspect firefighting and life saving equipments,-Motivate, train, develop and supervise the maritime department, -Prepare documentation used for arrival the arrival safety of vessels, -Maintain updates of all emergency instructions, -Ensure proper planning for the maintenance of all port equipments to meet production target,etc



November 2009 – January 2010. Internship at Fako Shipping in the operations department.
