Recorded and reported attainment of changes in MARSEC (Maritime Security) levels to the owner or operator and the cognizant Captain of the Port
When requested, ensured that the Vessel Security Officers receive assistance in confirming the identity of visitors and service providers seeking to board the vessel through the facility
Ensured notification, as soon as possible, to law enforcement personnel and other emergency responders to permit a timely response to any transportation security incident
Assisted in coordinating communications with contract security personnel being sure that all have the proper communication equipment including mobile phones and radios
Ensured that sufficient security personnel are available and provide appropriate training when needed.
Purchased and made recommendations for security equipment necessary to maintain safety and security of waterfront facilities as well as allow for contract security to safely perform their job
Ensure an annual audit of security plan is conducted and if necessary the FSP (Facility Security Plan) and FSA (Facility Security Assessment) are updated
Ensured the FSP is exercised
Performed and/or ensured that regular security inspections of the facility are conducted
Ensured the security awareness and vigilance of the waterfront facility personnel
Established procedures and policies for non-security personnel and ensure they were adhered to
Ensured that occurrences that threatened the security of the facility were recorded and reported.
