Responsible for the budgeting, co-ordination and documentation of maintenance, repairs and all operational affairs of the MARAD owned Ready Reserve, Ro-Ro Vessels, M/V Cape Diamond and M/V Cape Domingo. (28,000 DWT, 8,000HP X (3) Pielstick Engines). Vessels were in ROS status, based at the Old Naval Base in Charleston, SC.

Responsible for the co-ordination of M&R for six container vessels worldwide from my home office through a Citrix Server using Safenet Maintenance and Tracking software and attending vessels, as needed.

Managed the drydocking of the NAWC 38, a Naval Research Vessel at Atlantic Dry Dock in Jacksonville, FL.

Responsible for arrangement, oversight and documentation of voyage repairs of vessels calling in Jacksonville, FL. Attending Port Engineer during the 2002 intermediate dry-docking of the S/S Guayama at Detyen’s Shipyard in Charleston, S.C.

First Engineer- M/V Cape Douglas (Marine Transport Lines) 1993-1997
Responsible for the operation and maintenance of this 28,000 DWT, 24,000 HP Roll On/ Roll Off vessel. Directly supervised three Engineers, 1 Electrician and 5 other unlicensed crew members. Supervised multi-national work gangs through two foreign shipyard periods. Good working relationship with USCG and ABS. Involved in the implementation of ISM/SMS certification. No lost time accidents in my department during my watch. Always strove to create a safe and productive workplace.
Sailed as Relief Engineer on a variety of Steam and Motor vessels worldwide. Safety minded and production oriented. Never had a lost time accident. 1985-2001
