2003 - 2014 PETROTRIN, TRINMAR OPERATIONS



MARINE SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR

Responsibilities: To coordinate and administrate the provision of marine support services to operations inclusive of navigational safety,

Duties include:



Plans and coordinates relevant statutory surveys to ensure that all vessels certifications are kept in force including all life saving/safety/oil spill equipment.



• Safety and compliance with standards in the practice of mooring and rigging operations and hardware



• Administrate navigational hazard detection, mitigation and reporting on Notice to mariners.



• Reports on vessel inspection, incidents/accidents and lighting



• Safe navigational and operational activities responsive to Wilkins weather reports.



• Coordinates all crane barge activities



• Coordinate offshore marine protocols between Petrotrin, Trinmar Operations and Atlantic Liquid Natural Gas (ALNG).

• Ensure all marine related accidents/ incidents are investigated and proactively managed where necessary.

• Work with various senior personnel in developing corrective actions

• Mobilising for the deployment of the Oil Spill containment equipment -Emergency Response.

• Be part of the emergency response team



INITIATIVES

• Updated and redesigned all vessel inspection worksheets

• Initiated the World Maritime Day celebration at Petrotrin Trinmar Operations

• Introduced the concept for safety management systems for all marine vessel providers.



1999 - 2003 Trinmar SBU



OFFSHORE TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR.



Responsibilities: To ensure availability of safe, reliable, cost effective offshore transport services to meet and satisfy the needs of the offshore user groups.



Duties include



• Development of Tender documents to initiate contracts for the chartering of marine vessels.



• The management of the eight (8) company owned vessels and crews inclusive of tugs, supply vessel, cargo barge, passenger and utility vessels



• Development of scope of works for the dry-docking of all company owned marine vessels.



INITIATIVES



• Dry docked company owned vessels at base which resulted in savings of external dock rates and reduced down time.



• Identification of new sponge technology for the removal of paint and fouling from vessels which reduced the risk of the use of sand and grit.



• Developed an alternative boat supply strategy and presented it to management for consideration in 2002



• Developed a business strategy for effective and efficient vessel logistical management.



1998 - 1999 Trinmar Limited



BASE MANAGEMENT SUPERVISOR



Responsibilities: To maintain the quay wall and Marine Base general facilities and shore-base transport services.



Duties include



• Providing ambulance, crane, forklift and heavy transport services.



• Maintenance of buildings, quay wall and boat pens.



• Allocation of office space and parking



• Management of the marine base real estate



INITIATIVES



• Developed and implemented an effective traffic management plan for the marine base.



• Constructed a radio and communication control room at less than 80% of projected cost.
