OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT – I had coordinated a fleet of 7 overnight passenger tour vessels, 100’-257’ in respect to logistics and shore side services along the West coast of North America from Anchorage Alaska to Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I was responsible for itinerary development and port/dock scheduling as well as all shore-side services for every ship, on every itinerary from Valdez Alaska to La Paz Mexico. While at Green River CC I coordinated the activities of 26 intercollegiate athletic teams including facilities acquisition, food service, advertising, and annual funding and budgeting.



ADMINISTRATIVE –Responsible for all vessels budgeting relating to personnel, fuel, customs immigration and port fees totaling $7 million annually. I am trained in the use of many software programs outside of the industry standards of Microsoft Word and Excel.



PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT –At Cruise West I managed 7 vessel Captains, and 24 licensed employees in the wheelhouse & partially responsible for vessel staffing of up to 30 line level licensed and non licensed crewmembers. I also worked closely with Cruise West Human Resources in recruiting and hiring deck personnel for this fleet. I’m versed in sexual harassment policies.



MARITIME - I’ve been involved in all aspects of professional boating since the age of 14. I have held my Master’s license for 26 years operating vessels ranging in size from 26’ to 220’. The areas of operation were primarily SE Alaska, Canadian Inside Passage, Puget Sound, Columbia/Snake Rivers, San Francisco Bay and the Sea of Cortez



OWNER / PROPRIETOR “NORTHERN SIGHTS” I Owned and operated a small business that serviced cruise ship traffic as well as independent travelers to Juneau Alaska. This business included operation of a whale watching vessel as well as vintage car tours of the Juneau area and Mendenhall Glacier.
