Experience
Strong knowledge and ability to perform manual labor or mechanical operations (construction, installation, repair, and maintenance). Excellent knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques used in the pipefitting trade, along with knowledge of tools and equipment of the trade and skill in their safe use. knowledge of welding techniques and equipment and occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. In-depth knowledge of applicable building code requirements. Strong ability to plan and perform work involving the installation, modification and repair of new and existing piping systems. Proven ability to follow instructions, specifications and blueprints. Experience in installing Peerless pumps, Deluge pumps as well as vertical pumps. Wet systems, dry systems and underground systems. Also knowledge of OS&Y valves.

Supervisor during the construction of the EVO South Building. Studied blueprints tools, laid out the procedure for assembling, installing and maintaining the piping systems and equipment. Installed pipe valves and fittings. Checked for systems leaks with testing equipment. This is the first green residential high-rise building in downtown Los Angeles. This building was featured on the National Geographic – LA Hard Hats.

Cut, and threaded pipe to specifications, using tools of the trade. Assembled and secured pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment, according to specifications, by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints. Attached pipes to walls, structures and fixtures, such as radiators or tanks, using brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment. Inspected, examined, and tested installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other methods. Measured and marked pipes for cutting and threading. Laid out full scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related equipment, following blueprints. Selected pipe sizes and types and related materials, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic cylinders, according to specifications. Cut and bored holes in structures, such as bulkheads, decks, walls, and mains, prior to pipe installation, using hand and power tools. Modified, cleaned, and maintained pipe systems, units, fittings, and related machines and equipment, following specifications and using hand and power tools.
