b) Carrying out an ambitious port operations study along Brazil's north and northeast regions for a Canadian mining company in order to ascertain the best possible way out for a huge volume of iron ore bound to China.

Achievements:
a) Launch of a new line linking SAMEC with USEC + USG + USWC and Canada basis 4 x 2500 TEUs full-container vessels providing weekly service.
b) establishing a multimodal land-bridge linking eastern European ports with Chilean inland cities through Buenos Aires port on the Atlantic aiming at competing with direct sailings through the Panama Canal.

Achievements:
a) Successful negotiation of various J/V and VSA (vessel sharing agreements) among various shipping companies in order to rationalize the floating assets and reduce operating costs.
b) Successful negotiation with port terminals both in the River Plate and southern Brazil in order to outperform competitors' port operating costs.
c)Development of various truck-rail-barge corridors across Latin America's southern cone countries.
1987 to 1989 - SANTRANS SHIPBROKERS - SOUTH ATLANTIC REEFER
CHARTERING, Buenos Aires
Achievements:
a) development of a suitable network of shipping agents capable to operate dismountable barges along the Parana-Paraguay waterways in South America;
b)Participating in most of the hydropower projects by providing tailor-made project operations for both oversize and heavy-lift turbines and transformers along the inland waterways in Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay.
Achievements:
a) Chartering of the first banana carriers ex Guayaquil up to the River Plate;
b) Development and successful implementation of a commercial strategy to penetrate in the fish export market of the south Atlantic by offering specialized reefer carriers bound to worldwide markets (typically Europe; Far East; USA);
c) Steady market growth in the apples & pears season by chartering Japan-based pallet-friendly reefer carriers ex Patagonian ports bound to Europe, USA, Canada, and the Far East.
