§ All of my schooling was in the Cassville School District.
§ I lived in Cassville throughout my life with the exception of a year in Wascom, TX. Last year I returned to Monett to oversee my grandmother’s property.

Dear Sir or Madam:
I first became interested in seeking employment in the maritime field while working at the home of a mariner while he was at sea. Then another acquaintance was hired as a deckhand last fall in the Gulf. I went to work right away to fulfill the requirements for the Merchant Mariner's Certification. After receiving the MMD, I acquired my TWIC card and then completed and received certification in the required classes. I believe this is a field in which I will excel and be a positive contribution.
The accompanying resume is being sent in an effort to secure a position with you as an OS deckhand. I would also consider other positions that may be available. I am anxious to begin a new career. I am a hard worker and take pride in doing a job well. I work well with others and enjoy working outside. Although I am currently employed, I have made my employer aware of my intent and am available immediately.
