OS/AB/ Mate Training

Objective

Experience


2007-2008 M/Y JK Worked as mate on an 88’ Pershing express yacht. Duties included yacht exterior and interior appearance, light service duties, and minor routine maintenance.

Captained a 40’ traditionally rigged Friendship sloop offering sailing charters in and around Frenchman’s Bay.



2004-2005 Hornbeck OffShore Transportation 671 Court St. Brooklyn, NY (718) 625-0743

Worked as a deckhand/ mate on a 120’ ocean going tugboat moving petroleum barges along the East Coast with a majority of the experience in New York Harbor itself. Responsible for vessel security, safety and firefighting aboard the vessel.



2001-2003 The Northeast Harbor Yacht Club South Shore Rd. Northeast Harbor , ME 04662

Operated and maintained a 26 passenger Coast Guard Inspected Vessel used for ferry service. Responsible for mooring field management and maintenance on club vessel.



2001-2002 The Hinckley Company 130 Shore Rd. Southwest Harbor, ME 04609

Responsible for professional installation of winches, capstans, hatches, and miscellaneous deck hardware on production sailboats.



2000-2001 Moultrieville Charters Charleston, SC

Skippered a 52’ Hinckley yawl doing 1-2 week charters along the Maine Coast during the summer And delivered boat to and from the Bahamas during the winters for the owner. Responsible for vessel finances, and routine maintenance of the vessel.

Skils


Experienced captain on sailing and motor yachts; as well as, working on large commercial tugboats as a deckhand. Very familiar with the installation and service of most systems used on modern vessels learned from working for several lucrative Maine boat builders. Strong appreciation for safety of the vessel and it’s occupants.
