Objective
I am seeking an entry-level offshore position in the marine towing/salvage industry.
Experience
I have no experience working in this field, other than a 1-year stint on a schooner doing whale-watching/harbor cruises out of San Diego, CA when I was in college.
Education
Certificate in Motorcycle Repair, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute, Orlando, FL, 1999.
B.A. in History, University of California at San Diego, 1997.
High School Diploma, Irvington H.S., Irvington, NY, 1985.
Certification
Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat endorsements
valid TWIC
valid MMC (ordinary seaman, wiper, steward)
valid U.S. passport
Skils
I have experience using straps, chains, winches, and binders, which I learned while securing freight on flatbed trailers. I have some proficiency in repairing small engines and electronics.
I am available immediately, and I am very willing to relocate if necessary. I am no stranger to hard work. Given the right opportunity, I am sure I will be an asset to your company. I plan to work my way up the hawsepipe to Captain.
