Objective
Work in the stevedoring industry running operations. It's an industry that I love and feel very comfortable in. In addition to my experience, I have the ability to inspire labor to perform to their best levels and enjoy it.
Experience
My past employers include: Cilco Terminals, New Haven Terminal; Coastline Terminals. I have worked in the port industry in Bridgeport and New Haven since 12/76. I have performed every possible position in this industry. I started out as a laborer and moved up to become a checker and a heavy equipment operator. After that, I began supervising warehouse operations which led to becoming an operations manager. In this position I oversaw 179 employees in every aspect of cargo handling. My major achievements was to increase productivity by 50% on a continuous basis while reducing damage and creating a positive work environment. My employees respected my knowledge and direction.
Education
I graduated high school with high honors but chose not to go on to college because of my love for the port industry.
