To whom it may concern,

It is with great interest that I am applying for this position with your company. Combining my previous experience in the maritime industry, I am confident in my ability to perform tasks required of me. I have submitted my resume, but would like to add things that you just don't get in a resume.

I have a strong work ethic. I care about jobs getting done safely and efficiently. I believe that progress in all aspects of life is something we all should strive to keep up. Often I evaluate my life's goals, just as I would evaluate the standards of training and effiency of a job, and I identify areas that can be improved upon. I am thankful for each day that I get to wake up and start fresh.

In the maritime industry we get to meet and greet people from all walks of life. That is just awesome to me because it means having the opportunity to affect someone else in a positive way! In some form or fashion, people make personal sacrifices for their job. I have a desire to meet and greet new people not only just to see a new face, but also to thank them for what their role in the grande scheme of things.

My reasons to be successful are my family. I am thankful to have a great marriage and thankful for the opportunity to give support for my children. I would appreciate the opportunity to be a part of your company. Thank you for your time and for consideration. Thank you.
