Experience
Aug 06 – till present: Expeditors International - ZWA Aviation & Int'l Forwarders / Amman, Jordan. Working in Operations / ECMS department (Expeditors Cargo Management System), filling the position of Operations/ Global Accounts Leader. The main duties entailed the following:
1- Management duties and office work:
· Direct communication with global buying agents / customers, local vendors and International agent offices
· Continuous communication, visits & business meetings with shipping lines and local vendors
· Supervise vendor’s compliance to the relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set by our clients, and set monthly meetings of Vendors evaluation for service providers
· Coordinate and manage the data associated to merchandise movement including booking, receiving files as well as manifests
2- Operation duties such as:
· Booking with liners; Air / Sea shipments
· Preparing Shipping and commercial documents to liners / for MBL’s issuance
· Issuance of House Bill of Ladings (HBL’s) – Originals / Express Release Waybills, and dispatch along with commercial documents to customers at final destinations
· Arranging containers’ loading, releasing, and transportation with trucking companies
· Transmitting data of shipment
· Tracking & Tracing shipments to final destination
· Daily updates of shipment status to shippers and consignees
· Manifest transmission to customers and main hub
· Preparing official business letters & Quotations
3- Issuing shipment invoices, billing and recaps between offices – origin and destination (profit sharing).
4- Customers and International Agents Pre alerts.
5- Managing and arranging general Export business and shipments for local shippers, starting from liner's rate request until COB (Confirmed on Board).
6- Dealing with air freight shipments / booking with airlines / and quotations.
Mar 05 – Feb 06: Elite Maritime Agencies Co. Ltd. (EMA), an affiliated company of National Shipping Services Group (NSS) / Amman, Jordan. Working in the commercial department as a Client Advisor. My main tasks can be summarized as follows:
· Contacting directly with overseas shipping agents, studying shipping rates and status,
· Bring new business and maintain proper customer information,
· Provide clients with offers and price quotations,
· Prepare inquiries and booking orders,
· Follow up with the current clients
