Responsibilities – Personnel Officer - Operations
• Screen CVs, complete telephone screens and candidate interviews prior to Group Manager Interviews overseas.
• Review existing recruitment process and procedures, i.e. interviewing process, reference check process, Forecast & Planning , Fill postings, assessment process and tools evaluation.
• Remuneration Structure and negotiate compensation with successful candidates, Local and overseas agencies and hiring managers in conjunction with Head Office Group Manager
• Recruitment budget forecast and control
• Collect market intelligence based on information gathered through interviewing candidates and liaising with Local & Overseas recruitment agencies to be shared with Management
• Conduct behavioral, competency based interviews
• Liaison with the respective Principals for the date / port of joining
• Coordinating with concerned port agents at the port of joining
• Liaison with the agents with regard to arrangement of Visa Invitation for required Visa, Visa on arrival, and OK to board as required.
• Liaison with the travel department for tickets etc.
• Assist with the Logistics for training and other courses, meetings and seminars attended by officers and cadets serving on vessels
• Handling all the payroll sections related to their expenses incurred.
• Checking of certificates/ documents of all Joiners.
• Leave Entitlement allocation to all the Floating Staff.
• Checking all Medical Certificates as per the company requirement.
• To assist, establish and maintain an effective cost control and records of all activities.
• Assist with preparing and maintaining daily and monthly reports.

Doehle Danautic India Pvt. Ltd. provides a complete range of services for ship-owners/ ship managers, right from Crew Management, Technical Management, Commercial Mgt, Chartering & Broking, and Logistics to Training & Development.
Responsibilities – Crew Operator.
A senior management position in charge of smooth and safe operations.
Identifying bottlenecks and providing effective solutions.
Worked in Peter Doehle’s Isle of Man office for a period of one year for observing the operational procedures and policies and implementing the same in Doehle Danautic India after my return.
• Currently handling 32 vessels of Isle of Man with a team of 5 crew operators.
• Assist Recruitment in interviewing and selection of ship based crew and maintain co-operation with crewing agencies on crew related matter.
• Responsible for development of crew resource management system to improve crew administration in the fleet.
• Communication between ship agents, vessel and ship owners.
• Preparing Manning Report for Corporate HR Office in Isle of Man.
• Coordinating with relevant authority for crew training and development in accordance with STCW Convention 95 and Flag State requirement.
• Ensuring crew has relevant qualification and certificates for the position they have been selected / promoted to.
• Projection and maintenance of crew statistics (crew seniority / salary & allowance / merit increment/ promotion / discipline / training and etc.)
• Analyze crew statistic (sign on/sign off/attrition/seniority of crew/nationality mix) to facilitate future planning.
• Drawing up manning agreements of various agencies & carrying out the safety and environmental protection policies of the Company.
• Preparing and improve crew manning plan, crew qualifications, crew cost and budgeting.
• Organizing and arranging interviews, employment formalities for crew as well as crew certificates which are required by Flag State.
• Ensuring proper coordination of travel for signing on/off officers and crew.
• Verification of crew documentation/ qualifications as per STCW 95 and visas requirements.
• Collecting all information of crew assessments pertaining to all agencies (Romania/Manila/Poland/Ukraine).
• Preparing annual training plan for the management, organize training courses for personnel department and shore-based staff.
• In charge of collecting, forwarding, handling Safe Manning certificate information for personnel administration and training.
• Outline long term crew resources planning, management, training and development and execution of new crewing projection.
