Main Responsibilities



•Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and class requirements

•Implement procedures laid out in the Company Quality manuals and other directives as issued by management

•Manage the performance and condition of the vessel in conjunction with the vessel management team to ensure that quality & operational requirements are in line with QHSE targets

•Plan and attend dry-docking and supervise repairs and upgrades; Prepare subcontractors scope of works

•Monitor vessels’ planned maintenance through AMOS and ensure work and records are up to date

•Develop, monitor and manage running & docking costs; Prepare progress & maintenance reports

•Identify areas for upgrades & new investments and make proposals for efficient operation of the vessel

•Carry out bi-annual vessel inspections and implement corrective actions

•Use SAP for management & control of materials procurement & logistics

•Ensure that vessel receive supplies and spare parts as necessary



Highlights



ST Marine Shipyard–Maintenance & Upgrade Dec 2009 - Mar 2010



•Managed the installation of Menck Hydraulic Power Pack EL3200 with Cummins KTA50 Engines for pile hammering operations; hydraulic piping, HVAC and auxiliary systems; Liaised with all manufacturers, subcontractors and Class for eventual setup & commissioning onboard

•Supervised the up-rating of the AmClyde CW4010 Auxiliary Hook to 600Tons involving shipyard, Class and the Manufacturer

•Coordinated the installation of the 350Tons winch for pipe abandoning operations; P&ID documents for the supplementary systems; Communicated extensively with subcontractors, shipyard and Class for stage-by-stage inspection

•Administered the modification of the vessel’s fire detection system, annual servicing of fire fighting & safety equipment; Acted as focal point between multiple entities including Class for certification



ASL Shipyard Batam, Indonesia – Dry-docking & Renewal Survey Sept 2009 - Dec 2009



•Superintended various steel works and repairs pertaining to Class requirements; Ballast, fresh water, fuel oil tanks inspections and subsequent repairs

•Planned the vessels dry docking; Removal and servicing of Kamewa CPP blades, hub, OD box and rudder; Stern tube seals bonding; Replacement of bow thruster’s shaft & driving seals; Overhauling of propeller and bow thruster electric motors

•Oversaw the hull, ballast tanks and chain lockers blasting & painting

•Coordinated with Class for vessel’s renewal survey



ST Marine Shipyard – Maintenance & Upgrade for Australian Projects Jan 2008 - April 2008



•Managed & supervised the vessel’s accommodation refurbishment in compliance with the Australian standards, project and vessel requirements; Involved in extensive liaison with vendors, subcontractor and the Australian consultants

•Carried out ballast tanks inspections with Class to ensure structural integrity; Oversaw recommended steel repairs and ensured proper execution of repairs by the shipyard

•Administered the installation of the new fire detection system & accommodation freshwater piping

•Supervised various painting works; Coordinated paint consumption & supply by vessel and shipyard

•Prepared vessels Bio-fouling Record Book and Facility Description to be submitted to Australian authorities - AQIS & NOPSA respectively

•Handled routine coordination involving various Saipem departments, vendors and subcontractors



Keppel FELS, Singapore: Intern - Commissioning Department May 2006 - Aug 2006



•Worked as part of Commissioning Team; commissioned numerous drilling and marine systems

•Assisted the Commissioning Project Superintendent in liaising with the classification society and clients

•Conducted pre-operational checks on the installed systems

•Researched and authored a manual for a standardized platform about primary commissioning knowledge
