Experience
While billeted to the Air Department my responsibilities included all Electrical/ electronic components of the Catapults and Arresting Gear along with Flight Deck Lighting. Sub systems included High Pressure Steam, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic control and monitoring. I qualified as a turbine generator operator, repair welder and electrical safety petty officer. I assisted in establishing the DOD Electrical Safety Program, which is now used by all military branches.
