Navigational Electronics Technician

Objective


I am ready and able bodied seaman trained in navigation and navigational electronics. I am willing to start at any position with the possibility of future promotion.


Experience


Job Experience:

United States Navy – ( Dec 2003 to Nov 2006) Served aboard USS Miami (SSN 755) as Navigational Electronics Technician.

Responsibilities:

• Corrected, prepared and updated nautical charts and publications.

• Performed maintenance on Central Atmospheric Monitoring System, Ring laser Gyro navigator, Gyrocompass, military GPS, and all interior communication devices.

• Assisted in line handling and docking/departure procedures.

• Held Top Secret security clearance.

Initial Security – ( July 2003 to Nov 2003)

• Ensure building safety at all times.

• Maintain logs of all events, routinely patrol all workspaces and areas of building and parking garage.

• Held drills in conjunction with local fire department and building management.

• Make daily reports to building management.

• Understanding of all basic emergency protocols and procedures.

AT Systems Security – ( Jun 2001 to July 2003)
