Experience


1997 – (Febr.) 1999: “DAMEN” Shipyard Galati - Romania -Technical Engineer Coordinator:

Studied drawings to determine what is required and sequences of installation.

Distributed manpower per jobs and checked the daily performances.

Performance of inspections on board of vessels with Owners and Registers representatives.

Solve all the problems regarding maintenance and a good quality of steelwork on vessel.

Provide technical assistance at every kind of high level of complexity job.

Provide all kind of alteration sheet, at Owner or Class Surveyor request.

Make all connection between design department and production department.

Analyse of production status during meetings with productions departments and do his best to improve the quality and respect the terms.

Study all the drawings in view of preparing detailed production’s schedules, beginning with outfitting, piping, blasting & painting, mounting, launching and delivery.

Review together with Owner Superintendent all the remarks that appear during building process and solve them accordingly with the Owner’s requirements.

Ensured the fitting for air conditioning ductings, pipeworks and exhaust components.

Responsible for the engineering and fabrication of pipework, issuing and purchasing materials for contracts.

Coordinated activities of piping and pipe support group to achieve issue of work packs for site modifications to marine systems.

Supervising the production of work packs for the fabrication - installation and commissioning of defined workscope.

(Febr.) 1999 – (June) 2006: “DAMEN” Shipyard Galati - Romania – Workshop Chief:

Coordinated the activity of an engineering team ( 10 persons ) and 100 workers ( occupations : outfitter, pipefitter , electric welder , oxy-acetylene welder , painter ) at workshop and to ship .

Among the types of vessels which I participated to building of during Damen Galati Yard’s experience : oil/products/chemical tankers, container carriers, combi-freighters, Ro/Ro vessels, car carriers, heavy load carriers, hopper dredgers, cargo barges, tank barges, navy vessels, tugs/workboats, drilling rig platforms, special vessels (buoy laying vessels, patrol vessels, research vessels).

(June) 2006 – (December) 2007: “SAIPEM“ Milan - Italy ( Oil&Gas Company ) – Naval Architect – Offshore Asset Management Office from Aktau – Caspian Sea Area ( Kazakhstan Branch ):

Ensured the maintenance for 24 vessels ( the property of Saipem Fleet ) in Caspian North Sea Area .

Responsible on the Kashagan Project for all naval architecture including ship design, structural analysis, seakeeping analysis, tank testing and program development .

(January) 2008 – (June) 2009 (end of project) : DYNACOM Tankers Management LTD Athens - Greece ( Shipping Company ) – Superintendent Engineer – Ulsan Site Office from South Korea :

Supervised the construction ( owner representative ) for a VLCC project on the uppermost shipyard of the world, the property of Hyundai Heavy Industries Shipbuilding Division from Korea .
