Basic Design
? Stability calculation of sea-going vessels

Hull Structural Design
? Responsible for the preparation of scantling calculation and key plans for the ship structure like mid-ship section, profile and deck, transverse section, transverse bulk heads, engine room construction etc. complying with classification rules.
? Preparation of yard plans including detailed block wise drawings for the vessel which include piece naming, welding details, connection details etc.
? On construction of the vessel close interaction with the yard and suggesting recommendation to over come bottle necks.
? Correspondence with owner, classification society, local surveyor and other departments.
? Raising indents for procurement of steel plates and sections.
? Preparation of production aid drawings like scaffolding plan, jig piece drawings, lifting drawings, etc.
? On completion of the vessel preparation of as built drawings.
? Responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the department coordinating various departments, arranging and allocating resources to subordinate staffs and ensuring the compliance with ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

1. Platform supply vessels for Sea Tankers, Norway- 4 Nos
2. 30000 DWT Double Hull bulk carrier for Clipper Group, Denmark- 6 Nos. (High tensile plate was used and corrugated type bulk head with hydraulic operated hatch covers.)
3. 25 T Bollard Pull Tug for ATCO, Jeddah ( 25 T- 3 Nos, 35 T- 5 Nos, 45 T- 1 No)
4. Launch Barge for NPCC, Abudhabi, UAE
5. 1700 Cub. Meter Trailing section hopper Drudger for Chennai Port Trust, India.
6. 93000 DWT Double Hull Tanker for Shipping Corporation of India( High tensile plate was used)
7. 83000 DWT Tanker for Shipping Co of India.
8. 32 T Bollard Pull VSP Tug for VishakaPattanom Port Trust, India.
9. 35 T Bollard Pull Tractor Tug for Kandla Port Trust, India- 5 Nos.
Hull Shop
? Involved in the construction of the first Double Hull Tanker in India for the SCI.
? Supervision of fabrication works.
? Involved in the study of drawings, allocation of work, arrange resources and supervision.
? Coordinating with design and QC departments to over come bottlenecks during construction of the vessel.

? Coordinating manpower planning and assessing the manpower requirements for various jobs.
? Imparting continuous on job training to the subordinates to enhance their operational efficiencies.

1995 B. Tech (Naval Architecture & Ship Building) from Cochin University of Science Technology, securing a first class (Duration: 4.5 years)
