1.) Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard P.O. Box 50110 Bharain
Position: Lead Steel work Hull, Outfitting Design & preparation
Responsibilities:
- submit initial repair sketch (marked-up drawing)
- estimate material
- Calculate total weight for Steel works
- Propose a new design of Vessel’s outfitting items
- Designed a nitrogen plant foundation for a Chemical carrier, calculated the bending stress, provide scantling for the re-enforcing under deck then submit for class approval
- Designed an anchor chain securing clamp
- As built drawing of a Semi-submersible platform for a new crane installation
2.) Subic Shipyard & Engineering, Inc. Subic Zambales 2209
Position: Ship Repair Manager/Assistant Hull Manager
Responsibilities:
- over all in-charge of Ship repair
- a direct mediator between the owner’s representative & the yard’s manager
- in-charge for all the repair such as hull, shipwright, piping, machinery, NDT, HVAC, carpentry, etc.
- prepare repair plan
- ship repair estimation (quotation)
- in-charge of steel works for all Ship repair
3.) Al Manzel Houseboats & Marinas, Umm Al Quwain United Arab Emirates
Position: Boat Designer
Reason for leaving: contract-based
Responsibilities:
- develop a design of a low-cost Houseboat projects made of Aluminum .
- design pontoon for Marina Projects (Marina – is a small floating pier for leisure vessels).
Design bridges for Marina Project
- Calculate maximum load capacity of a bridge.
- Supervise daily fabrication activities.
- Buoyancy calculation of pontoon by the use of MS Excel.
- Prepare fabrication drawings for daily details sing AutoCAD 2005
4.) Dubai Drydocks Jumeraih Beach U.A.E.
Position: Work Preparator
Reason for leaving: project-based contract
Responsibilities:
- Prepare Parts Distribution List for Sub – Assemblies on each newly build Vessel.
- Serve as a link between the Design Department to Fabrication
- Fabrication planning for Ship Building strategy.
- Identifying, Sorting, & Scheduling Construction Stages such as where the material goes after cutting, bending, shaping, part assembly stage, sub-block assembly stage & grand block
assembly stage. Namely the parts T – girders, T – girder with bended flange, bracket with bended flange, bracket with welded flange, shaping of side shell, bottom shell or deck camber prior to fit stiffeners or frames.
- Drawing coordinator
- System error tracker, identifying mistakes done during the preparation of shop drawings and prevent the re-occurrence of the said errors. (like locations of plasma marks, side of beveling & chamfers, offsets for the direction of thickness etc.)
- prepare forming sketches of bended brackets, sides shell flanges, bow thruster cone, hawse pipe, spurling pipe, chain locker, shell plate development etc.
5.) Dubai Drydocks, Jumeraih Beach United Arab Emirates
Position: Q.C. Inspector
Reason for leaving: transferred for another scope of responsibility
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welding Inspector
- Accept & Reject fit – up prior for welding in accordance with IACS.
- Accept & Reject welding capping prior for offering to the Owner’s Representative & Class Inspectors.
- NDT In – Charge such as MPI, UT, RT, VT, VacT ( Vaccum Test), RT, Hardness Test.
- Monitor of PWHT (POST WELD HEAT TREATMENT) for stress relieving a Homogenous parent metal of a Crane foundation.
- Specify welding procedure
- Monitor WQT (WELDER’S QUALIFICATION TEST)
- Acting Certification Engineer for the Construction of Sub – Sea Structure GBS (Gravity Base Structure), as well as preparing the Documentation of Construction details, NDT Traceability, Material Traceability & Welding Traceability.
- Monitor the preparation of Weld Qualification Specifications (WQS/PQR) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society).
- Specify welding procedure on each assembly drawings.
- Ship New Building drawing coordinator.
- Prepare test pack of a newly build sub-sea Structure (NDT Traceability, Material Traceability, Welding Traceability)
- Prepare Dimension Report of each Panel or Block before, during & after erection of the Dock bottom.
- Prepare as-built drawings for the actual modification of a newly build structure.
- Trace nesting drawings (Cutting Plan) for verification of material.
- Prepare NDT Plan.
- Witness Charpy test, tensile test, of construction material prior for fabrication.
6.) Santiago Shipyard, Tayud Consolacion Cebu Philippines
Position: Junior Naval Architect
Reason for leaving: resigned for going abroad
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pipe repair facilitator, repair of the Fire Main Pump of a Frigate (Philippine Navy’s property)

Reason for leaving: Board examination
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Material Expediter
- Rigger & Hauler in-charge
- Estimate materials
- Prepare Shop Drawing for Minor Outfitting Items such as water tight doors, cowl head & mushroom ventilators, hatch covers, louvers, electrical rest ways, bollard & other mooring arrangements, sketches for cropped-out & re-plate of a Hull Structure in accordance with the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard).
