Mooring Master - Construction Barge / Rig Mover

Objective


Supervise the mooring of construction barges and jack ups etc. I am a professional mariner who is dedicated to his job, punctual, safety & security conscious, goal oriented, honest takes initiative for the improvement in the system, flexible & hard working with a real commitment to get the job done.


Experience


Work Experience



Sea service and professional work experience of over 16 years.

10 years of service onboard different types of vessels within and outside Nigeria, out of which 5 years – working period was served onboard PSV, CSV, LHT, AHT, AND MULTIPURPOSE Vessels.

Serving as mate to master on AHT / LHT involved in crude VLCC & ULCC & PNG product tankers handling, rig move and positioning operation.



6 years experience as Construction barge mooring master and marine representative during pipeline and platforms installation, barge operation daily supervision and reporting, etc.



Positions Held: Barge Mooring Master, Marine Technical Coordinator, Marine Vessel Operation Lead,

Marine Safety coordinator, Marine Auditor.



Positions of interest: Marine Lead, Marine Superintendent, Port Captain, Marine Drilling Rig Mover (Trainee).



Key Area of Experience:



- General understanding of offshore Vessel / Barge anchor running and positioning.

- Planning and coordination of Barge Movements.

- Dynamic Positioning System operation and auditing.

- Marine vessel knowledge, skill and experience

- Jack Up Risk Assessment, Movement and Positioning.

- Offshore client representative role – technically marine and HSE.

- Marine incident investigation, trending and reporting.

- Trained on Incident Tap Root, Impact OIMS auditing procedures.

- Supervision of Marine technical activities and projects.

- Float over operations for platform installation.

- Vessel survey, auditing to IMO and class requirements for crew safe work condition and certification.

- Vessel inboard management, Navigation and Safety.

- Worked as Barge Superintendent for six (6) months.

- Experienced in towing rig to location and positioning as Tug master under the directive of the rig mover.

- Experienced in FPSO, FSO and Export (shuttle) tanker berthing and towing operation during loading.

- Performing required duties as company representative and PIC of assigned vessel.

- Proficient in written and spoken English.

- User of MS applications including; MS Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook, LOTUS NOTES, etc.

Job Title: Mooring Master / Lead Auditor.



- Coordination and Supervision of Barge Movement, anchor running and positioning operations.

- Review of anchor pattern and procedures prior to operation and before any changes.

- Pre-hire inspection of all type of offshore marine vessels and equipment.

- Marine incident investigation, review, analysis and reporting.

- Assessment and technical evaluation of Marine contractors.

- Jack up positioning Risk Assessment, supervises on site movement and positioning.

- Ensures contactors compliance with ExxonMobil – MPN marine operation standards.

- Responsible as company representative for oversight, assistance and communication for vessel response in the event of a vessel casualty. (Fire, Flooding, anchor drag, oil spill, collision etc).

- NPO marine representative onboard Work / accommodation Barges during pipe laying, riser installation, hook up and commissioning operations.

- NPO Marine Safety Coordinator, integrating the OIM Systems.



Job Title: Marine Technical / SHE’S coordinator.



- Pre-hire inspection of all type of offshore marine vessels and equipment.

- Marine incident investigation, review, analysis and reporting.

- Platforms Boat Landing inspection and evaluation.

- Supervision of Jetty operations.

- MPN Marine Safety Coordinator, integrating the OIM Systems.

- MPN Marine Technical / SHE’S Coordinator, reporting to the Marine Technical Supervisor.

- Carry out auditing on all MPN Marine Safety matters.

- Collate and track all inspection reports deficiencies to closure.

- Carry out Vessels Certificates tracking to check expired certificate on vessels in the fleet.

- Marine Incident Trending and Analyses. Investigate incident to root causes and share findings and recommendation with vessels in the fleet.
