2001-till date



?Joined the largest marine transportation player in the industry-Bergesen DY ASA, Norway

?Was involved with the initiation and implementation of a project on performance enhancement of main diesel propulsion engines on the M.V.Berge Nord.The project resulted in Bergesen DY presenting a technical paper at the CIMAC Congress in Koyoto ,Japan in 2004.

?In view of technical performance was given the opportunity to serve on the main focus of the company –The LPG Fleet.



1999-2000



?Joined as site Engineer for Hind Erectors

(Kerala based company with Engineers contractors, Boiler Repairs and Erectors)



2000-2001

?Joined as Graduate Engineer on the mechanical wing of Hindustan Latex Ltd(A Government of India Undertaking ISO 9002 company)

?Was involved in the implementation of a new testing method for the product, which proved to be more economical and reliable than the older method.

?Post Graduate in Marine Engineering (Marine Engineering & Research Institute Mumbai, India)

? Training experience from Indian Naval Dockyard Mumbai (Building and repair yard for Indian navy)

Functional responsibilities include;



? Day-to day operation, routine maintenance, independent watch, trouble shooting and overhaul of marine machinery including marine diesel engines, pumps and pumping systems, boilers, compressors, purifiers, fresh water generators, refrigeration & air-conditioning units, heat exchangers etc.



? Attending Major Repairs and Faults in Auxiliary Machinery, Compressors and Pumps



? Responsible for diesel generators (1500 kW rating output) & Boilers, making all the required maintenance as the planed maintenance schedule, starting from daily routine checks to major overhauls on the generators.



? Operation & Maintenance of centrifugal Purifiers, air compressors, all types of pumps & safety equipment in the engine room.



? Responsible for the operation, inspection and maintenance of the machinery inboard the ship.



? Diagnosing and fault finding for the running machinery.



? Testing all the safety alarms and trips for the diesel generators, main engine, air compressors, and purifiers.



? Maintenance of the boiler as per the running hours and ensuring that all the parameters are within limit to obtain the good combustion and the correct air /fuel ratio as required.



? Inventory control of machinery and parts



? 24/7 monitoring of fire and safety onboard vessel



? Constant updation of planned maintenance schedule
