Skils
• Erection, installation and commissioning of marine machineries such as Main engine, Diesel generators, Air conditioning plant (AHU and compressor), Cold storage plant (Freezer and chiller unit), Steering gear, Starting air compressor, Instrument air compressor, Sewage Treatment plant, Incinerator, Oily water separator, Fuel oil purifier, Hot water heater, Ballast water treatment plant and fresh water maker.
• Commissioning of marine cargo systems such as Bulk handling, Fresh water cargo, Fresh water domestic and sanitary system , Bilge and fire / emergency fire, water ballast, Co2, FM200, Water mist, Starting and service air and tank gauging system.
• Assisting design engineers by communicating the defects and comments from owner or class surveyor onboard and to make changes in machinery installation drawings.
• Coordinating with engineering department and assisting them with engineering calculations by verifying catalogs, installation and operational manuals etc.
Preparing check list for pre commissioning and commissioning of various systems.
• Ensure that the piping system and electrical connections is fitted as per the class / owner approved drawings.
• Sorting of comments and preparing pre commissioning punch list and follow up with the respective production dept. to close all comments before commissioning of machinery.
• Ensure the safety aspects such as safety tags, proper securing of staging, take initiative for gas free inspection etc. before survey.
• Coordinate the survey and ensure the presence of owner and class surveyors, OEM, service engineer and production personals during the commissioning.
• Ensure that the commissioning work satisfies the quality standards and it is as per the design protocol.
• Analyzing the installation and operational manuals and presenting the system to the surveyor in coordination with service engineer if applicable.
• Proper documentation of survey reports and sending comment list to all concerned departments.
• Preparation of sea trail procedure and conducting SATs (Sea Trail Acceptance Test) for machineries at sea.
