Mechanical Engineer, w/ Naval Architecture experience

Objective


Utilize my extensive engineering experience in the field of project engineering or project management in the Marine Industry.


Experience


Have held positions from deckhand, to project manager in marine industry on various projects and vessel refits and new builds. Held positions responsible for welding techniques, hydraulic systems, electrical systems,interior outfit and others. Experience with inland vessels, sea going supply/ towing vessels, tugs, mega yachts and all types of marine construction equipment. Proven knowledge of design paramenters in Naval Architecture for inland vessels and COI knowledge for offshore vessels up to 500GT. Installed marine engines and gen sets on new builds and refits from 200 hp to 6000hp vessels. Up to date exposure to all USCG requirements including TWIC requirements. Responsible position as manager for hiring new crew members for off shore projects and vessels. Thorough understanding of port operations for bulk material handling from barges to rail/truck. Capable of infrastructure construction on docks and wharves, dredging, salvage and diving.

100t USCG masters license, inland


Skils


Strong interpersonals skills, Extremely knowledgeable of all shipboard systems. Experience with computer programs for shipboard maintenance. Detailed experience with navigation systms from chart plotters/GPS to satelite tracking shipboard systems on a worldwide basis.


 


Excellent knowledge of various software programs from Excell, Peachtree Accounting, Heavy Bid, MS Suite to include Project.
