Project 1:

Project : Bid Proposal “Lease of FPSO for Bukit Tua Field Development”

(Conversion of Tanker “Southway”)

Client : Petronas Carigali

Location : Bukit Tua Field - Indonesia

Period of Work : Currently working on this ( Nov - 2009 to till date)

Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Involved in the Marine System Design (P&IDs) and Equipment sizing

• Prepared the Master Equipment List with all the specifications of the Equipments.

• Helped the Procurement Manager in making the RFQs for all Marine Equipment to be installed on the FPSO. These include Pumps (Fire Water Pumps, Jockey Pumps, Hot Water Circulating Pump, Marine Gas Oil Pump, Potable Water Hydrophore Pump, Condensate Pump, etc), Compressors (Service Air Compressor, Instrument Air Compressor, etc), Fresh Water Generators, Life Boat and Rescue Boat, Tank Vent Valves, Helideck Fire Fighting Equipment, Sewage Treatment, Tandem Hose String, Tandem Hawser, etc

• Reviewing the Technical Offers offered by the individual equipment suppliers.

• Reviewing the Topsides P&IDs and Data sheets of the equipments.



Project 2:

Project : FPSO “Montara Venture”

(Conversion of Tanker “Free Way” to FPSO “Montara Venture”)

Client : PTTEP Australasia

Location : Montara Field Development - Australia

Period of Work : Currently working on this ( April - 2009 to till date)

Job Title : Mechanical MDR Reviewer

Job Responsibilities :

• Company representative to Client for clarifiying all the Technical Queries related to the Project Documents

• Reviewed the Package and Vendor supplied Manufacturer Data Record (MDR) & Installation and Operational Maintenance (IOM) manuals for the respective equipments on the FPSO “Montara Venture”. These equipments comprises of all the Process equipments, Marine equipments, Offloading equipments, Cranes, Pumps, Turbines, Boilers, Heat Exchangers, Valves, etc

• About 600 MDRs & IOMs reviewed by checking the Data Sheets, Installation and Operating Manuals, General Arrangement Drawings, Weld maps, NDT Reports, System Description, Certificates from the Third Party, Test Certificates, etc

• By contacting the individual Package suppliers and subcontractors, closed all the punchlist items raised after reviewing the MDRs and IOMs

• Responsible for closing about 1300 Punch Items on the MDRs and IOMs review for Topsides, Turret, Accommodation, HVAC and Marine Equipments



Project 3:

Project : FEED (Front End Engineering Design) of FPSO

(Conversion of Tanker “Brilliant Jewel” to FPSO)

Client : Noble Energy

Location : Benita Field Development - Equitorial Guinea – West Africa

Period of Work : From Sep - 2008 to March – 2009

Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Sound knowledge on the Conversion Specification of the Tanker to FPSO and involved in making this specification

• Sound knowledge on the Refurbishment Specification of the Tanker and involved in the making of this specification

• Involved in the Marine System Design and Equipment sizing

• Checked and Corrected the Equipment Data Sheets of the all the Topside Modules. These include Heat Exchangers, Pumps, Gas Turbines, Pressure Vessels, etc

• Prepared the Painting Area calculation for all the Tanks (Cargo and Water Ballast Tanks)

• Prepared the Heating Coil Requirements for heating the Crude Oil in the Cargo Tanks

• Prepared the Data Sheets of all the Pumps existing and new (to be bought)

• Prepared the Specification for Steam Boiler

• Prepared the Request for Quotation (RFQ) for all the new Marine Equipment to be installed on the FPSO. These include Pumps (Fire Water Pumps, Jockey Pumps, Hot Water Circulating Pump, Marine Gas Oil Pump, Potable Water Hydrophore Pump, Condensate Pump, etc), Compressors (Service Air Compressor, Instrument Air Compressor, etc), Fresh Water Generators, Life Boat and Rescue Boat, Tank Vent Valves, Helideck Fire Fighting Equipment, Sewage Treatment, Tandem Hose String, Tandem Hawser, etc



Project 4:

Project : FPSO “RAROA” (Conversion of Tanker “Andaman Sea” to FPSO “Raroa”)

Client : OMV – New Zealand

Location : Maari Field – New Zealand

Period of work : From Sep-2007 to Aug-2008

Job Title : Mechanical Engineer

Job Responsibilities :

• Support to the Engineering Manager, Construction Manager and Quality Manager

• Designed the Fire Ring Main for the entire FPSO using Pipenet software which consists of 1100 pipes and 800 nozzles connecting from the Forward Fire Pump to the Aft Fire Pump. This describes the Hydraulics of Fire Ring Main (Flow, Pressure, velocity, etc., in each and every pipe and nozzle)

• Updated the Operating Philosophies of FPSO consisting of Engineering calculations

• Prepared the Data Sheets for all the Pumps on FPSO

• Prepared the Hazardous Area Register consisting of the Instruments present in the Hazardous Area along with their Location, Model Number, Certification Number and Certified By. Gathered all the certificates and data sheets from all the vendors and got approved by ABS surveyor. Number of Instruments: 2000

• Prepared the Pressure Vessel Register consisting of all pressure vessels

• Prepared the Chemical Injection Summary

• Prepared the Electrical Load for the Entire FPSO

• Was in Offshore on FPSO “RAROA” in Maari Field-New Zealand for 41 days. Worked with Quality Manager and Construction Manager in Handing over the Commissioning Dossiers (files: 66) to the Operations team and worked on the Permit system for the remaining work to be done. Made 60 permits along with their Job Hazardous Analysis

• All India 6th rank with 99.4 percentile in GATE-2005 (GATE – It is the Entrance Examination for pursuing Masters in IITs)
