Present Role at V.Ships Parekh Marine (India) Pvt. Ltd:
Ø Attending daily brokers meeting in Transchart.
Ø Circulate/Inform all owners and associates about Transchart market orders and status of various orders already in the market.
Ø Prepare and submit firm offers & confirmations to Transchart. Carry out negotiations with owners and post fixture jobs, which include preparing fixture note, charter party, laytime calculations and complete monitoring and routine communications until file closed.
Ø Market scanning for business / orders, to secure a suitable business / employment for the vessels of our owner principals like Hyundai Merchant Marine, Chokang shipping, IHX, Chellaram shipping, Tolani shipping, Pacific Basin shipping, Island View shipping.
Ø Calculating voyage estimation and comparing various business proposals to find the most suitable employment for a vessel.
Ø Locating the right vessel to suit a charterers needs, making comparisons of relevant characteristics and negotiating various contractual terms with vessel owners, which are suitable for that business.
Ø Preparing Voyage Charter, Time Charter & COA for our principals.
Ø Vessel monitoring in respect of C/P adherence and providing all post fixture support like passing eta notices, liasing with third parties like agents, surveyors etc.,
Ø Working and liasing with vessel owners and charterers for smooth operation.
Ø Business Development geared towards improving returns on clients existing trading patterns.
INTEROCEAN SHIPPING INDIA PVT LTD: Since November 2004 – February 2006(Head office)
Responsibilities handled at INTEROCEAN SHIPPING INDIA PVT LTD:
Ø Co-ordinating/assisting the shippers/exporter for procuring the cargo in bulk from the suppliers by giving them critical information like FOB prices, providing price information regarding transportation & storage of cargo upto the desired port, providing vessel line up and port congestion information at east/west coast India ports from were the final shipment has to be made.
Ø Being the first point of contact before/after the maritime leg of the journey of export / import shipments of break bulk cargoes like rice, soybean meal, sugar, maize from major / minor / anchorage Indian ports.
Ø Soliciting business with international clients like Cargill – Singapore, Churchgate - Nigeria, Voest Alpine Intertrading A.G., Zurich, Milan – Nigeria, Dana Foods - Nigeria, HMM – Korea, Chokang Shipping - Korea, STX-Panocean – Korea, NYK Hinode – Japan, Universal Navigation –Singapore, Alunited shipping - Singapore etc and the domestic clients like Ruchi – Indore, Gujarat Ambuja – Ahmedabad, Adani Exports – Ahmedabad, ITC Hyderabad etc.
Ø Serving as a single point contact for major clients from where reliable information/messages are collected / collated / controlled / exchanged and is precisely conveyed to the principals, which helps them to take better decision.
Ø Allocation of Jobs (in regards to vessels pre-arrival formalities) across branch staff / operation executives and ensuring that the job is done properly.
Ø One of the active members of organizing committee for conducting social get together,Dinners, picnics etc.
