2000-2003 MASTER, ADIRONDACK II, Sailing Excursions,

2008 Newport, RI

Summers

ÿ Master of 78' gaff rigged schooner, day sailing operation out of Newport

Harbor.

ÿ Responsible for the comfort and safety of 68 passengers during five bay tours each day and narrating tours with local history.

ÿ Commissioned the vessel each year at haul-out facility in Albany, NY and

delivered vessel to Newport for charter season.

ÿ Responsible for training crew in boat procedures, safety of passengers and

customer relations.

2005-2007 HEAD CAPTAIN, Kaneohe Bay Ocean Sports, Oahu, HI

ÿ Responsible for captains and crew of a fleet of 15 vessels operating in the tourist industry in two locations on the island of Oahu.

ÿ Trained over 100 employees in ship handling, safety, and the maintenance of all vessels. Serviced over 50,000 passengers annually.

ÿ Prepared all vessels and attended USCG annual inspections. Operated all vessels, mainly the mother ship, a 100-foot multi-hull.

ÿ Managed a complete refit of 100-foot tri-hull, high speed, passenger vessel in St. Thomas USVI. Executed delivery of vessel to Hawaii under own power.

ÿ Responsible for start up of the second operational site one mile off Waikiki beach, including modification of vessels for offshore operation, setting up multipoint mooring systems and producing safe procedures for underwater activities and passenger transfers in adverse conditions.



2000-2002 Winter MASTER, Captain Nautica, St. Thomas USVI

ÿ Master of 32 foot RIBs in Charter industry navigating a 100 mile International

ocean route each day, carrying 24 passengers.

ÿ Responsible for safe handling of small vessel in large sea conditions,

training of crew and the comfort and entertainment of passengers.

ÿ Educated and assisted passengers in snorkel tours at various sites.



2000 FREELANCE SKIPPER/MATE

ÿ Delivered vessels to Alaska from Seattle, and the 120 foot luxury yacht

Antonisa from St. Thomas, USVI to Italy.

ÿ Served as mate aboard tugboat Alpha, an assist harbor tug in St. Thomas.

ÿ Skippered gaff rigged schooner for cruise ship passengers in St Thomas

and day charter vessels in Alaska.



1995-2000 FOUNDER, Distancer,Inc. St. Thomas, USVI

ÿ Startup and administration of 75 foot sailboat term charter business.

ÿ Responsible for the development of advertising materials, marketing, public

relations with yacht brokers and clearing house, yacht maintenance,

overseeing a crew of three, budget and development of proficiency in

Photoshop, MS Word and accounting software. Served as skipper.



2000-2008

ÿ Gaps in employment history spent with my family sailing aboard 42 foot personal sailboat in waters between Italy and Fiji covering over 50,000 nautical miles.

ÿ Outfitted the vessel for world cruising, safely navigated a small vessel on long ocean passages of up to 3 weeks, handed foreign port's clearance procedures,

Maintained all systems shipboard, all with a baby/ toddler in tow.
