Responsible for day to day operation of the Materials Department as per the approved Materials Systems and Procedure and directly reporting to the Materials Manager. Directly supervising the following:
* ISSUES SECTION - receive/sign and checks all "Requisitions" from the End User/s prior to issues and check again after issues prior to computer posting.
* RECEIVING SECTION - Check and sign "Discrepancy Report" (Short/Over/Damaged/Rejected) prior to materials manager approval).
* PROCUREMENT SECTION Check and sign P.O. prior to approval by the materials manager and other signatories. Responsible in answering and clarifying technical inquiries from both supplier/s and end user/s.
* CYCLE STOCK INVENTORY - insures proper counting and adjsutments are being observed. Review and sign "Cycle Inventory Adjustment Report" prior to materials manager approval.
* COMPUTER POSTING SECTION - review and sign monthly journal reports for Issues/Receipts/Adjustments/Fast & Slow moving, Obsolete items/Monthly Warehouse Value.
Other Responsibilities:
1. Maintain adequate stocks and periodical review of the computer generated stocks reorder per the established maximum/minimum formula.
2. Constant review of the morethan 50,000 recorded line items targeting the not moving items over 5 years, 10 years and obsolete items.
3. Maintain safety work place and safety storage area.
4. Maintain comprehensive planning on personnel work rotation to avoid shorthand.
