Nature of my job was ensuring the company's product (high strength deformed steel bars) to the specifications laid out by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).
I was part of the team responsible for the accreditation of TMT.
I was part of the team that developed a unique high strength deformed steel bar with superior corrosion resistance for coastal environment.

Texture & Microstructure & development during Recrystallization of Interstitial Free and Interstitial Free High Strength Steels (low carbon steel)”.
Summary: Deals with the various aspects and changes occurs after deformation of interstitial free steel and interstitial free high strength steel, specially change in orientation (Texture) after the deformation. Examining various changes in physical and mechanical properties such as Hardness, Strength.
Result: It is possible to produce a perfect ?-fiber texture in interstial free steels by optimizing the cold rolling and annealing process (time & temperature).????fiber is responsible for the excellent forming characteristics of low carbon steels.
Recrystallization kinetics was faster in case IF steel then IFHS steel.
