Kirby Inland Marine:



October 2008-Present: Mate/pilot of towing vessel

-Officer-in-charge of vessel, personnel, and barges in tow

-Responsible for the safe navigation of the vessel

-Supervisor of cargo trasfers, daily house keeping, daily maintenance, and crew training

-Accountable for crew safety and adherance to USCG regulations and company policies

-Conducted monthly fire drills and safety meetings, in addition to security and quality incident drills



August 2007-October 2008: Steersman of towing vessel

-Completed Towing Officer Assessment Record to obtain towing endorsement for inland waters and western rivers

-Acquired boat-handling skills training on various vessels in gulf coast ports, inland waters, and western rivers

October 2004-June 2006 Sailed for a total of 300 days as a Deck Cadet on the following vessels:

-S.S. The Monseigneur (Coastal Tanker) AHL Shipping Co.

-USNS Tippecanoe (Fleet Oiler) Military Sealift Command

-M/V Cape Ray (Roll on/Roll off) Keystone/MSC Contract

-M/V Cape Henry (Roll on/Roll off) MTL/MSC Contract

-M/V Sealand Lightning (Container) Maersk Lines LTD.

-GTS Admiral Callaghan (Roll on/Roll off) Keystone/MSC Contract

Responsibilities onboard included bridge and cargo watchstanding, terrestrial, celestial, radar/ARPA, and electronic navigation, safety inspections, ship repair and ship maintenance
