Experience
July 2007-April 2008: Able Seaman(Special) for Freedom Marine Services, LLC of Houma, LA aboard the M/V J. F. Jett in the Gulf of Mexico.
Jan. 2007-July 2007: Ordinary Seaman for Jettco Marine of Morgan City, LA also aboard M/V J.F. Jett. (Jettco Marine was renamed to Freedom marine and moved office to Houma,LA in the Fall of 2007.
Fall 2006: Instructor in English as a Second Language at El Paso Community College, El Paso, TX.
Dec. 2005-Mar.2006: Deck Engine Utility, Ocean Ships Incorporated, Houston, TX aboard M/V Samuel L. Cobb, a 615 foot T-5 tanker transporting petroleum products worldwide for the Military Sealift Command.
Sept. 1985-Nov. 2005: various positions with the U.S. Border Patrol including Patrol Agent, Senior Patrol Agent, Intelligence Agent, and Lead Intelligence Agent (last & highest position held) all within the El Paso (Texas) Sector.
Mar. 1987-Nov. 2005: Master Chief Petty Officer/Boatswain's Mate and Command Master Chief (highest position held) U.S. Navy Reserve. A part-time position-- weekend drills and annual active duty training. Tenure includes 1 year active duty aboard Navy frigate USS Constitution begun shortly after terrorists attacks of September 11, 2001.
Aug. 1977-Mar. 1987: Petty Officer/Boatswain's Mate Second Class U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. Normal drills and annual training, usually in vessels on the Colorado River (CA/NV/AZ) and Port of San Diego area. Was recalled for active duty during Summer of 1984 for patrol of the venue for Summer '84 Olympics in Los Angeles/San Pedro, CA.

Certification
U.S. Coast Guard Master's License for steam and motor powered vessels to 100 gross registered tons for inland, near coastal, and Great Lakes waters.
