Experience

Introduction

The purpose of providing the enclosed information is to solicit possible employment as Unlimited Pilot for VLCC Tankers. Transshipment expertise of crude cargos is a specialty.

Background:

Currently on my 6th issue of U.S. Coast Guard License; expires August 2012, actively involved in the maritime industry as master, or pilot for the majority of my life.

I hold an Unlimited Master Oceans, with endorsement for Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC) to 370,000 DWT, and Unlimited Pilots endorsement for the principal waters of: The Savannah River, the Mississippi River, and most of the major ports in the Gulf of Mexico. I have successfully delivered petroleum cargos around the world safely and without an environmental incident. I have delivered many cargos of #6 and Crude Oil at the BORCO Facility in Freeport for storage and transshipment. I know the anchorage areas and harbor lay out for containerization and petroleum products.

I hold a Dual Major Undergraduate Degree from Livingston University. My primary is Marine Engineering, and secondary is Transportation cum laude.

After graduation from Livingston University I spent 4 years in the service. Upon being Honorably Discharged I went to work with a friend of mine, Capt. Steve Alexander who was a Canal Zone Pilot. I obtained enough time to qualify as unlimited second mate and went to deep sea where I gained the rank of Master. The enclosed vessels are the ones I have expertise on. The Elizabeth Knudsen was demolished in 1983.

I have been visiting Freeport GBI since 1969 and love the Island I am ready to move there and establish a career helping the Bahamas Government to supply revenue for the Island.
