Skils

34 years maritime Exp. Deck, Port, etc.

I have a wide range of knowledge and understanding in the marine industry both on vessels and as support from ashore. I have sailed as Master on both product (Chemical) and crude oil tankers for ARCO Marine, (24 years), and was most recently Master of the Delta Mariner, (11 years), for FOSS-Atlantic. The Delta Mariner is a Ro-Ro vessel of 8,679 Gross Tons involved with trade via the Western Rivers and the Gulf of Mexico. The Delta Mariner is a twin z-drive vessel with two bow thrusters and as Master I did all dockings, un-dockings, and lock work. I am currently aboard the University of Washington R/V Thomas G. Thompson as Chief Mate, and have gained much experience working with the Kronberg DP System as well as working with research scientists and the setting and recovery of surface and subsurface buoys, launching and recovery of both ROV’s and Elevators. I have worked with Port Captains and Port Engineers in regards to voyage and shipyard repairs, (both state side and foreign), stores and bunkers, as well as being involved in all required USCG, ABS, SOLAS, and ISO/ISM audits and inspections. A list of my current documents/certificates and training is included in my resume.
