Objective
Currently operating towing vessels transporting fuel. I like it a lot, but have grown to be unable to afford the unscheduled time away from family and cost of Hawaii at current unchanged pay.
Experience
Currently working as Master of Towing Vessels in Hawaii, operating tugs between 96 and 190 tons. (5 1/2 years).
Barges towed 50,000 barrel double hull, 38,000 single hull, and a 320' x 80' cargo barge used primarily to transport scrap metal.
Master on dinner cruise vessel (4 years).
Education
One year away from a bachelor's degree in psychology before I started working on the sea.
