I have captained the 1250 hp Tug Redoubt, previously named the Dorothy Foss, towing (usually a 200’ barge) in the Arctic Ocean; Bering Sea; Yukon and Kuskokwim Rivers; Bristol Bay Rivers; the North Gulf of Alaska (from Dutch Harbor to Kodiak), Cook Inlet and Prince William Sound. A good boat handler, I am experienced in beach landings, ship assists and line haul of containers, logs, chips, gravel and heavy equipment.
I have a clean safety record and am familiar with deck, engineering and electronics- the installation and troubleshooting of computers using Nobeltech and Coastal Explorer navigational software and their interfaces with AIS, radar and other devices. Experienced on deck with towing, various research devices and most forms of commercial fishing gear- commercial diving experience.
