• Responsible for the safety and education of students in grades K through college and other passengers aboard the 70-foot R/V Sea Explorer for more than 10 marine science programs.

• Sailed aboard the Brig Pilgrim and topsail schooner Spirit of Dana Point as crew and maritime history instructor.

• Assembled, wired, troubleshot, and assisted with the design of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) for use in science programs and public exhibits through an educational partnership with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (2/03 to 6/04).

• Responsible for the safety and education of students in grades 4th -12th during their 3 - 4 day stay at the Institute.

• Worked on the building of a two mile long boardwalk through state owned wetlands. Embedded pilings, attached bearers, laid floor joists, and fitted deck boards utilizing survey and construction equipment (7/01-10/01).

Great Lakes Fisheries Research Assistant • Assisted with fisheries research including one project which entailed studying the life cycle of the sea lamprey utilizing ArcView GIS as part of efforts to eradicate the exotic species from the Great Lakes (01/01 to 5/01).
