Skils

As a licensed Master since 1984 and former Marine Surveyor I have amassed a great deal of experience in the operation, repair, and construction of a variety of vessel types. These include seismic research vessels, aerostat, small container, RO/RO, and OSV’s, in the 165’ to 285’ length range and sailing vessels. I have served as a Master both on domestic and international voyages and on vessels under U.S. Government charter. Additionally I have over 6 years experience as Master of DP-1 equipped vessels.

U. S. Coast Guard experience offers me an excellent back ground in maritime law and vessel inspection, vessel and operational safety, pollution response, navigation, search and rescue, and heavy weather operations.

I have also held the status of Accredited Marine Surveyor with the Society of Accredited Marine Surveyors for ten years and I am a former member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the American Boat and Yacht Council.
